Sharon is an award-winning television and stage actress, though she is most often recognized as the original co-host of Cash Explosion. Either on Cash Explosion or as part of the live drawings, Sharon has been making Ohio Lottery winners on television since 1987. “I love that so many people’s lives have been changed by our show, whether from the money or from having been a TV star. And with a daughter who will be in the public school system, I am thrilled that Lottery money is helping to fund her education.”
Sharon’s other television work includes entertainment reporting, commercials and voice-overs. Before shifting her focus primarily to television, Sharon was a member of a professional resident acting company where she worked with playwrights like Arthur Miller and performed in more than 60 roles ranging from Harpo Marx to Juliet.
Cherie started her entertainment career in radio as part of the morning drive teams for WKED in Canton and WMMS in Cleveland. With the move to television, she has appeared in national commercials and videos for international corporations. In addition to co-hosting Cash Explosion, Cherie can be seen on the Ohio Lottery television network 4 to 5 times a month hosting the nightly drawings. “Before I joined the Lottery team, I used to watch Cash Explosion all the time. Now, meeting the contestants face-to-face and giving them all that money…it feels so good! As a parent, I’m also proud to be part of something that gives a big chunk of money to Ohio’s public schools.”
Cherie spends as much time as she can with her two sons bowling, having dinner together, or just plain ‘shooting the breeze’. Cherie’s also quite devoted to her 11 year old Shiba Inu, Kasha. When Cherie’s not hanging out with her family and four-legged friend, she’s cheering on her favorite team: “Go Cavs!”
Co-hosting Cash Explosion continues the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for David McCreary. David has loved performing since he was a kid. For more than 15 years, he has entertained audiences across central Ohio with his comedy and astonished them with his magic. He’s performed at The Funny Bone, and for companies like NBC, Children’s Hospital, NetJets, and Honda of America. For 2 years David hosted 10 Most Wanted, a music video countdown show on TVU Music Television. He has appeared in a number of television commercials, and he also hosted Make Me Famous, Make Me Rich for the Ohio Lottery. David says, “It’s nice to meet people at such an exciting time for them. Whether they’re winning some extra spending money on the show, or money that will change their life, it’s so much fun to be there for that!”
In addition to his co-hosting responsibilities on Cash Explosion, he often amazes the studio audiences with his sleight-of-hand. Ask David about the 2 rubber bands he usually wears around his wrist, and he’ll show you that ordinary rubber bands can do extraordinary things!
A native Ohioan, David grew up in Licking County, and he lives there now with his wife and 2 sons.
